This post has given birth to a website: ww2panorama , the reasons were simple: after the comments I received on the 60years ago panoramas I set myself to build an archive of a maximum of European landmarks of world war 2, with the precious help of 25 other panoramists we have reached our target, today on the 60^th^anniversary of the end of war in Europe we are delivering 100 panoramas from 15 countries across Europe.

Here’s a panorama from one of my forthcoming submission to the ww2panorama project: Theresienenstadt a ghetto in Czechoslovakia, this panorama was taken inside the little fortress in the solitary confinement block.

For this once, it’s not the usual entertaining stuff you find here, it’s a sad pano commemorating terrifying events.

“Ce billet”:/360/43/60-years-ago a donné naissance à  un site: ww2panorama , les raisons sont simples: après les commentaires incroyables que j’ai reçu sur les panoramas du début de la bataille des Ardennes, je me suis mis en tête de construire une archive d’un maximum de sites témoins de la seconde guerre mondiale. Avec l’aide active de 25 autres panoramistes nous avons atteint notre but aujourd’hui jour du 60^ème^ anniversaire de la fin de la guerre en Europe: 100 panoramas de 15 pays à travers l’Europe.

My gratitude to all the participants who have endorsed this project from the beginning and delivered an extraordinary achievement. A special thank goes to Laurent who has constantly been on my back during the whole process and to my wife Michèle who was forced to live through this for nearly 3 months and yet helped me all the way. Also Andrey, Bernhard, Bostjan, Iñaki, Toni … this project wouldn’t be what it is without you all.

Je souhaite remercier ici tous les participants qui se sont engagés dans ce projet depuis le début, et ont fourni un travail remarquable. Des remerciments plus particuliers vont à  Laurent qui m’a constamment motivé et à  ma femme Michèle qui a dû supporter mon indisponibilité pendant près de 3 mois et qui a tout controlé par-dessus mon épaule. Et aussi Andrey, Bernhard, Bostjan, Iñaki, Toni, … ce projet ne serait pas ce qu’il est sans vous.
